2025: Second Quarter
We're Changing Things Up!

Hello, darling,
I know that I have been missing in action yet again.
But good news, it’s not all for naught. I’ve been hard at working on a bunch of new stuff for not only the blog but the branding for Magnolias & Crystals as a whole. And I cannot wait for you all to see what I’m cooking up over here because it is so exciting for me because it’s going to let me do so much more for you all in the way of the content I put out!
And don’t worry, just because I’m doing video content, that does not mean the blog will be going anywhere.
You also may be like, wait, weren’t these supposed to be monthly rewinds? What’s up with the mention of the quarter?
Well, darling, as part of the work on Magnolias & Crystals branding edits, I have chosen to streamline as many things as I possibly can. Part of that is this newsletter. Trying to even think of doing a monthly newsletter has had me in a stall for writing so I am switching to Quarterly.
This does two things:
Keeps me out of your inbox as often
Helps me centralize what I want to share with you in the newsletter.
While I recognize that this may increase the size of the newsletter, it also allows me the ability to be more transparent with you and curate the newsletter information a little but more.
So let’s get on with it!
What Happened Last Quarter?
April
April was shockingly not a busy month. The anniversary of the blog kind of passed without huge celebration and that is absolutely fine. We did celebrate a certain little royal in this household though. Lady Katherine Elizabeth turned thirteen this year.
-queue the gasps-
Yes, I know she doesn’t look it and I get told that all the time. I am very thankful that I take such good care of her that she doesn’t look her age. But that’s the family genetics because I still get carded for every single alcoholic beverage I order. So yeah, she fits right in!
But again, this month was pretty calm. Between work and just plotting out a bunch of things for you all content wise, it was productive but still calm.
May
Birthday Month.
Yes, this Taurus celebrated her 32nd Saturn return by taking the aforementioned royal to her vet appointment to see her very loyal subjects at Banfield. I did treat myself to a delicious sushi dinner that night though.
And for those that may be curious, yes, she got a clean bill of health.
May was again another not so busy month but still enjoyable none the less.
I got a new piercing with one of my witchy friends, did a cute little vlog of the first Wicked Market of 2025, and did a lot of cooking at home.
I did splurge and get myself some new mics and one huge haul of clothing from Karma Nepal Crafts. They are absolutely amazing and I fully intend on doing some more shopping with them as soon as the white and black versions of the dusters come back into stock cause I can’t resist.
June
June felt like it was busy. I honestly don’t think I remember half of it.
Not because of brain fog but just because while fun, it was not as eventful as July has started itself off to be.
I did get to go see From the World of John Wick: Ballerina in theaters via an early screening. I won tickets and dragged Kiwi with me to see it - not knowing when I did that she hasn’t seen the other movies. But it was amazing and I cannot wait for more films in that universe.
I did go to Pride down in Franklin - mainly because it wasn’t as hot then as it was for Nashville’s pride. I also didn’t have to deal with proselytizing Christians at this one so Franklin Pride wins!
I also got asked to be an ARC reader for a book series. The series is called The Sangrel Chronicles and I am currently reading book one of it titled Blood & Roses. The series is by Jennifer Ford. As of writing this, I haven’t finished it yet but I’m planning on devouring the rest of it over the next week. You can pre-order from Barnes & Noble here.

This quarter is filled with a couple travels, one of which I have already been on as of writing this.
