We survived the first quarter of 2026!

Did January last eleven billion years for you? Cause it sure did feel like that for me.

But it has been extremely productive for me when it comes to the blog which pays off for all of you!

What Happened Last Quarter?

January

It was a busy month as far as reading goes and some traveling. My friend Kat and I did a visit down to Memphis. I introduced her to Novel where I managed to find the really pretty copy of For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn in hardback that I didn’t have.

We also got to visit Slowburn’s physical location twice in one weekend. The shop is absolutely amazing and my heart is so happy to see another small bookstore exist in Nashville!

Well, I finally said goodbye to Go Daddy for my website hosting and the new look for the blog officially came out to you all. I hope you all love it if you’ve been over to the blog! And if you haven’t, please do yourself a favor and go check it out. Even after this is released, we will be making a ton of edits to the blog so it will ever be evolving and becoming the space of the internet that I want to create.

While content is came back this month, life took its own turn.

I got the news back that a biopsy of my uterus came back with non-cancerous but abnormal cells. This has led to the catalyst of me finally being able to push for the partial hysterectomy that I have been trying to have for years. However, the expenses are a lot and it would put me in drastic amounts of debt.

So with the encouragement of some friends, I have started a GoFundMe to help with the costs. The goal of this is to raise over the amount and return what is left over after I have paid the bills. I won’t go too deeply into it as the full explanations are being placed on the GoFundMe itself. As of right now, surgery is scheduled for May 18th.

You’ll find book recs, all my beauty favorites, and everything else I have always wanted to share with you but didn’t have a space for.

What's in the Cards for This Quarter?

One thing I know for sure if that this next quarter is going to be crazy. I have been planning a Beltane gathering with my friends for months at this point and it is also serving as my birthday party as the next day I will be seeing Florence + The Machine in concert. It’s gonna be a busy time. Plus Katherine has her bi-annual vet visit in May which we will most likely be scheduling the same weekend as the concert so… Life will life on.

The Bookshop.org wishlist will now be supporting Slow Burn Bookshop here in Nashville as I am still planning to switch it out quarterly. Any purchases from the list will go to support them.
