Happy New Year!

Hello, friend,

I know I’ve been pretty MIA the last few months. There wasn’t much need for a rewind nor was there really any content that I felt up to making in the last few months due to stuff that I was dealing with. Between finally landing a new job and a wedding that required travel, I have been stressed to the nines.

But we’re back in action and I have been working on all the content ideas along with trying to get back to some type of schedule.

Schedules

We’re still keeping posting on the blog to twice a month, every other Thursday at 9am central. Youtube will still be Book Reviews on Tuesdays at 8am central and Game Streams from Twitch on Thursdays at 12pm central.

Additionally I will be tweaking the Twitch Schedule but only to shift the Wednesday Book Writing stream from 11am-1pm central to later in the day. While I wish we could keep it at its current time, with my new job it is not possible. We might actually do Tuesdays and Sundays with this as an encouragement to get me writing more.

Reading Goals

Well I smashed 2024’s reading goals of 16 books and 10,000 pages read, with final totals being 35 books and 15,538 pages read. Additionally, I beat my friend in our friendly little “Who can read the most pages this year” competition. We’re doing it again this year with the deal that whoever wins owes the other a drink which I think is absolutely fair.

To recap quickly, I allow myself to add one book if I only meet my goal and do not surpass it for both the books and pages read. As I surpassed both, 2025’s goals have been set as 18 book and 12,000 pages to be read.

And right now, with three books released/releasing this month and one more in February, I’m going to be a very busy reader. I still haven’t worked through the stacks that I have pulled from my shelves that I know I have not read, though I have plans to attempt to knock some out this year. There’s currently 18 in the stack, not including the 5 that I currently have planned to pick up on release.
