Hello, Hearthfolk,
Wow…. what a second quarter.
Life has been extremely busy between working on podcast research and trying to get notes down for all the books I’m reading so I can properly drop some reviews for you all. And not just that but personal life has also been busy.
But it’s nothing we can’t recap!
What Happened Last Quarter?
April
This month kicked off the second quarter and was basically my busiest month. Two weekends of Bookish adventures with JJ and finding some amazing new books to enjoy. Of which I can confirm I’ve finished one of the books I got on these adventures and it was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend reading it. It’s call Grotesque. But beware, if you don’t like dark romance, this is not the book for you. But you can find it over on my Benable page on the “The Witch’s Bookshelf” board.

Birthday Month!!!!!
You’re girl has completed yet another round around sun. We celebrated it on Beltane (May 1) because on my actual birthday, I spent the night partying with Florence and the rest of the coven at Bridgestone. But as it always happens, Taurus season tends to just wear me out at the end. Like post birthday, I’m like “Okay, bye! Taurus season is over!” because I’m that tired. So I hermited for most of the month with the occasional venturing out with some friends.
June
I finally came back to myself in June after hermiting through most of May. It was needed, it was necessary. Sometimes a girl needs to go dark and get back to herself before she starts emerging out in the world again. Nothing major happened content wise unless you wanna count me going slightly irritated at the Practical Magic 2 trailers and basically determining that I’m most likely not gonna like the movie.

What's in the Cards for This Quarter?
So this quarter leads us into fall. And clearly I’m behind sending this out to you guys one month in. But life is going well right now and I’m looking forward to what this fall is going to bring.
In small tomatoes updates (if you’re from Nashville you know August brings our Tomato Fest to us), we’re keeping Slowburn as a our shop for the Bookshop.Org Book Queue Wishlist. So if you wanna get a book moved up the reading queue, go check it out!
But in general, fall is incoming and I’m fully intending to get some content done around that soon.
